Have you ever felt like life was spinning out of control, like you’re grasping for answers but the pieces just won’t fit together? That’s exactly where I found myself as we studied Job 9 and 10 in Bible study yesterday. What a powerful section of Scripture! Job is grappling with the vastness of God, His power, His knowledge, and His ways that are far beyond anything we can comprehend. Job even asks, “How can a man be righteous before God?” (Job 9:2) and describes God as doing “great things past finding out, yes, wonders without number” (Job 9:10). Can you feel the weight of that?

It got me thinking about how often we face situations where we don’t know what’s next. Job had no idea how his story would unfold, yet God was already working. Isn’t that how life feels for us sometimes? We’re here, trying to figure out what’s next, but God is already ahead of us, making moves we can’t see.

Let me paint a picture. Imagine standing on a mountain trail, unsure of where it leads. The fog is thick, and all you can see is a few feet ahead. That’s how life often feels. But what if you knew there was Someone who already walked the path and cleared the way for you? That’s what God does. He’s not just present, He’s ahead of us, preparing paths we couldn’t have imagined.

There are moments when we don’t know how things will come together whether it’s a need, a tough decision, or just making it through another day. Yet, time and time again, God shows up in ways we didn’t expect. He provides, He guides, and He orchestrates everything perfectly.

Jesus spoke to this so beautifully when He said, “Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things” (Matthew 6:34). That’s not about avoiding responsibility; it’s about realizing we’re not in this alone. Life doesn’t have to be perfect for us to find peace in Him. Whew, isn’t that a relief?

So here’s what I’m wrestling with: What does it look like to really let God lead? For me, sometimes it’s as simple as pausing in the middle of my stress and saying, “Lord, I don’t know what to do, but I trust You.” Other times, it’s stepping through an unexpected open door, even if it’s not what I had planned. You know those moments where you think, “God, are You sure about this?” but you do it anyway? Yeah, those.

Letting God lead doesn’t mean life will suddenly get easy. Job’s story proves that. But it does mean we have Someone walking with us, giving us strength for every step. And when we look back and see how things worked out in ways we never could have planned, those are the moments when we realize how far ahead God really is.

What about you? Have you ever had those “only God” moments where things came together in a way you couldn’t explain? Or maybe you’re in a season where you’re still asking questions and trying to figure it all out.

Wherever you are, remember this: God is always working, even when we can’t see it. And that truth changes everything.
